In April 23, 2015, LONCIN and BMW held their tenth anniversary celebration ceremony and the ribbon cutting for the successful completion of the BMW factory at the LONCIN plant C. Mr.Gao Yong, President of LONCIN Motor Co., Ltd and vice president Mr. Wen Xiaogang met with Mr.Stephen Challer, President of BMW and vice chairman of the board of supervisors Shao He, attended the tenth anniversary celebration ceremony and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Mr.Gao Yong, President of LONCIN Motor Co., Ltd stated that, LONCIN became a global strategic partner of BMW ten years ago, which has its significant meaning in Chinese motorbike history. In 2005,LONCIN began to cooperate with BMW for 650cc engines; in 2007, LONCIN produced 650cc engines massively; in 2013, the two sides reached a new supply agreement on large displacement twin- cylinder engine; in March, 2015, the large displacement scooter project officially started.
In ten years, LONCIN and BMW gradually expand the cooperation area, forming a mutual trust, win-win, and stable strategic partnership. With the help of BMW, LONCIN make magnificent progress in many aspects like technical level, product quality, and greatly enhanced enterprise competitiveness. The cooperation not only stimulates LONCIN’s business, but also promotes "diversification" of the products.
It is reported that, in order to promote the new large displacement twin-cylinder engine and large displacement scooters projects, and to provide BMW with satisfied product, LONCIN invested big amount of money to rebuild the plant and upgrade the facilities, from the production equipment to workshop lighting arrangement, temperature control system, workshop ground treatment and the cleaning maintenance, all those aspects are made in accordance with the international advanced standard. The upgraded factory represented the advanced standard in motorcycle engine and motorcycle assembling in the world.
LONCIN held the ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of the factory at the important moment when LONCIN and BMW celebrated the tenth anniversary celebration, which has extraordinary significance, marking LONCIN mastered the advanced manufacturing technology, becoming the leading global enterprises for large displacement engines and high-end motorcycles, opening a new historical stage of LONCIN and BMW for closer cooperation, and also becoming a new starting point of the two sides to enhance the strategic cooperation.
